Good morning ladies and gents!

Next up on the blog is Kristen and Josh! I met Kristen almost a year out from her wedding day and let me tell you- this girl was on the BALL! I was a little shocked at how organized she was and how EVERY LITTLE detail had been thought of so far out in advance. Kristen carried around this "binder" that would blow any planners mind! I actually took a few notes from her awesome binder and now use her super OCD techniques in other brides binders! Seriously, you have to see it for yourself to appreciate it. Also, Kristen had the most amazing engagement ring I have ever seen. I am a LOVER of Emerald cut/Radiant cut diamonds and hers were just stunning and so sparkly. Love!

The year came and went we started planning for her big day 8 weeks out from her wedding. While Kristen was very organized and had planned the majority of her wedding herself, their were still many tasks for us ladies to tackle. We attended all of her final meetings and site visits, made final to do list and were ready for her wedding day! 

  

On the day of the wedding, everything went off without a hitch! Kristen and her entire family were some of the sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. You could absolutely feel the love from this family with every passing second!

Kristen left this sweet note for me a few days after the big day:

Little notes like this make all those long hours worth it! I absolutely love what I do and couldn't imagine doing anything else!

Emily + Chris| Real Weddings| Belle Soiree Events, New Orleans

Happy Sunday!

This week has been so busy I am finally getting a chance to sit down and get in some blogging time! Emily and Chris were married on November 10th, 2012. I first met Emily some time after her mother reached out to me in regards to her daughters wedding. Mrs. Linda, Emily's mom, found Belle Soiree' through one of her past brides mothers! I love when we book weddings through previous brides! Word of mouth is the best source of advertising!

Emily and her ladies prepped at her home she shares with her now husband. What I love about this is the house they live in was her grandmothers house and also where her parents lived once they were married. I am a grandmas girl so this was very sweet to me. Emily didn't want to get ready for her wedding anywhere else, and I don't blame her! I know her grandmother was there in spirit :)

Once everyone was dressed, the bride rode away in a Rolls Royce and the first look took place at Hotel Provincial. From there, we traveled to St.Patricks church where their beautiful ceremony took place.

The reception was held at Metairie Country Club where Nola Flora decorated the venue beautifully and Quinn with Impulse Entertainment had the dance floor packed ALL NIGHT long! Emily planned a special dance for her groom for their garter toss. Chris's grandfather wore a top hat and when their family travels or has special occasions- they incorporate the hat in there some way! Emily surprised Chris with the hat during her garter toss dance!
